The Engine Hall

The double-height Engine Hall is the largest space in The Pumping House, and an impressive setting for your wedding breakfast and all types of celebrations. Filled with natural light in the day, at night it transforms into the lively centre of the house. A mezzanine wraps around the room, providing the perfect viewing platform, a space for meaningful conversation or a moment of quiet. After many years’ experimenting with different layouts & guest numbers, there is endless flexibility on the set-up of the room. From the traditional round tables to banquet style to our ‘sweetheart’ style. As dusk falls, guests can dance the night away, celebrating this memorable day and bringing The Engine Hall to life

The Grounds
Set in three acres of ancient woodlands, The Pumping House has exceptional opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. From drinks on the lawn supplied by a rustic outdoor bar to scavenger hunts in the forest, the beautiful surroundings of the Sherwood Forest make for unforgettable days and nights.
Wedding Reception
Guests can enjoy their drinks and canapés following the ceremony in our spacious Conservatory Room, just outside the door is our beautiful mezzanine view of the Engine Hall. Guests can take in the stunning view of the hall below, all ready and set for their wedding breakfast.
The Ollerton Room
The Ollerton Room has beautifully unique parquet flooring and is filled with natural light from the original paned windows, creating the perfect setting for wedding ceremonies against a backdrop of forestry and wildlife. The Ollerton Room is the main room licensed for civil ceremonies with seating for up to 110 guests.
The Boutique
This stylish space is complete with a vintage dressing table, chair, sofa and full-length mirror. Conveniently situated next door to The Ollerton Room, this room is perfectly located and with space for the wedding party to prepare for their grand entrance.
