One gorgeous Saturday in July, we saw the stunning wedding of Kate & Becky…
Kate & Becky are both teachers living in Cambodia – planning a wedding is difficult enough, let alone trying to plan a wedding whilst being on another continent. They hired the professional services of Amy Thorne at Amaranthyne straight away Amy set out to find the venue of their dreams. Kate and Becky described their perfect venue, which included the words – relaxed, modern, non-traditional, non-fussy, natural, barn-like and industrial; Well, The Pumping House ticked all of their boxes.
The first time we met Kate & Becky was over a Skype call, myself and Amy gave them a tour whilst they were 7 hours away enjoying a glass of fizz. Instantly, they could visualise having their wedding celebrations here and fell in love with the charm of The Pumping House.
Kate and Becky’s wedding day was exquisite, two ladies clearly in love surrounded by their loving family. A quiet and relaxed celebration, The Engine Hall was elegantly dressed with lanterns, candles, flowers and stunning foliage by The Flower Barn The Flower Barn. The room filled with tears during the ceremony, touching speeches were followed by delicious canapés, shared antipasti boards, tagines, couscous and salads by Gail Dandy Catering. Finishing the meal with my favourite part …. THE BAKE OFF! The dance floor was alive all evening with the Brides and their guests giving The Pumping House our first Queen Chorus of Bohemian Rhapsody! This wedding day is certainly one we’ll remember.
We wish both Kate and Becky a lifetime of happiness, continuing to treasure many more memories on their journey together.
